Advantages and tradeoffs
Differential only: two series resistors and one capacitor across the pair. Fewer components, no intentional capacitor current into ground, and no pair of ground capacitors whose mismatch can convert common-mode noise to differential noise. Useful when differential bandwidth is the priority; shared output noise passes through.
Differential + common mode: adds equal capacitors from each filtered leg to quiet circuit ground. Attenuates both differential and shared output noise, useful before a differential receiver or ADC. More components and ground-return current; capacitor and resistor matching matter. The added capacitors also lower the differential cutoff. Layout, receiver load, and ADC acquisition settling need checking.
Use VOCM ripple and the Common-mode voltages view to compare the two options. Ripple is applied to the output common-mode target, not the amplifier inputs.
